The 10 tracks on the CD are finest CONVERTIBLE ROCK, with a brilliant and respectable Renft cover as bonus track. New is the sound, which was redefined after long considerations and hours of scratching the back of the head - and thus is up-to-date and very remarkable. A solid bass, a crystal-clear guitar, drums and a brilliant an effective voice - everything connected with enormous pressure that penetrates the sound directly and inevitably from the apes to the human ear.
In addition, "Sympathy for the Ape", recorded live at the legendary SO36 in Berlin, became the opener of the album. The electromechanical remix "Three Reasons To Freak Out" is as well remarkable and lives up to its name. The last two tracks were recorded live at the Anker in Leipzig, when the 3apes were supporting Mr Johnny Winter. As all the live tracks, all studio tracks are first trial takes - brave.
Authentic musician with a very own style, great artistry and a very convincing live performance. Howsoever, "STARK RAVING MAD 2.0" is dangerous, explosive and jangles the nerves. (Jim Haag)
